Description
The Spot Welding Machine is designed for building custom lithium-ion and nickel-metal-hydride battery packs by welding thin nickel connecting strips to battery cell terminals. Spot welding is the preferred method for joining nickel tabs to cells because it delivers a fast, concentrated pulse of current that creates a strong weld without heating the battery cell enough to damage it — unlike soldering, which can overheat and degrade cell chemistry. Adjustable pulse energy settings let you dial in the perfect weld for different strip thicknesses and cell sizes.
