PV Fuses and Holders are DC-rated fuse links and their corresponding fuse holders designed specifically for protecting solar photovoltaic string circuits. In a solar array with multiple parallel strings, a fuse on each string prevents reverse current from flowing through a faulted string, which could overheat the cables and cause fire. PV fuses are rated for the high DC voltages encountered in solar systems (up to 1000V or 1500V DC) and are designed to safely interrupt DC fault current, which is harder to break than AC due to the absence of a zero-crossing point. The fuse holders accept standard 10x38mm PV fuse links and mount inside string combiner boxes. Replace fuses without tools using the pull-out carrier.
