Prepaid Energy Token Meters

The Prepaid Energy Token Meter enables a pay-as-you-go electricity model where tenants or consumers purchase energy tokens (via phone, MPESA, or a vendor) and load them onto the meter to access a pre-purchased amount of kilowatt-hours. When the credit runs out, the supply disconnects until a new token is entered. This eliminates monthly billing disputes, ensures revenue collection for landlords and utility operators, and encourages energy conservation. The meter displays real-time consumption, remaining credit, and total usage.
