The Chicken Heat Bulb is an infrared heat lamp designed to provide consistent warmth for brooding chicks, ducklings, and other young poultry during their first weeks of life when they cannot regulate their own body temperature. The infrared radiation warms the birds directly rather than heating the air, making it efficient even in drafty poultry houses. The red-tinted glass reduces visible light to create a calmer environment that discourages pecking. It fits standard E27 lamp holders and is used with a brooder lamp reflector suspended at the correct height above the chick area. Also useful for keeping adult poultry warm in extremely cold conditions.
